Time Shift
Time Shift is a 150 x 100 cm original expressionist abstract oil painting by Simon Kenny. A powerful and atmospheric study of time and light in a significant horizontal format, available for private purchase, gallery placement, and international delivery.
Description
Time Shift is a definitive original contemporary painting by the award-winning artist Simon Kenny. Spanning a commanding 150 x 100 cm, this work represents a masterful enquiry into the “Temporal Sublime”—capturing the visceral sensation of time moving, shifting, and refracting through an atmospheric lens.
In this composition, the viewer is confronted with a sense of “Layered Chronology.” True to Kenny’s signature style, the painting utilizes complex oil glazes and gestural blending to create a landscape that feels perpetually in flux. The horizontal 150 cm expanse allows for a panoramic experience, where the eye travels through various “zones” of light and shadow, much like the passing of hours. It invites an individual and personal experience, functioning as a visual meditation on the elusive nature of the present moment.
Gallery Perspective and Architectural Flow The substantial 150 cm width of Time Shift makes it a premier choice for high-impact architectural placements. It is specifically designed to anchor a long wall in a luxury residence, a contemporary executive suite, or a primary gallery space. The work’s ability to suggest “movement” makes it a favoured selection for art consultants and interior designers looking to introduce a sense of dynamic energy and intellectual depth to a professional or private environment.
As Simon Kenny’s work is frequently picked up by leading UK galleries such as Clarendon Fine Art and Whitewall Galleries, pieces of this scale and conceptual weight represent a robust transactional opportunity. This painting offers a significant investment in contemporary abstraction, providing a lasting visual anchor for any world-class collection seeking a work of “Panoramic Intensity.”
