Shattered Earth

Description

Shattered Earth is a significant original expressionist abstract oil painting by the award-winning artist Simon Kenny. This commanding 120 x 100 cm work offers a profound investigation into the raw, elemental forces of nature, capturing a sense of geological upheaval and the relentless cycle of destruction and rebirth.

Characterised by bold, gestural brushwork and a sophisticated use of layered oils, the composition invites an intensely personal experience. The “shattered” forms suggest a world in transition, where matter is both breaking apart and reforming under the pressure of deep, unseen energies. It is a quintessentially contemporary work that balances visceral impact with an underlying sense of spiritual enquiry, true to Kenny’s “Radical Turneresque” style.

Gallery Context and Transactional Opportunity The expansive 120 cm format makes Shattered Earth a premier focal point for high-end residential interiors and corporate collections that value bold, conceptual expression. Its evocative power and technical complexity ensure it is frequently picked up by leading galleries such as Clarendon Fine Art and Knights Fine Art for its ability to dominate an architectural space with emotional depth.

For the discerning collector, this piece represents a robust opportunity for asset diversification within a contemporary art portfolio. As Simon Kenny’s international profile continues to rise through prestigious solo exhibitions and corporate acquisitions, works of this scale and thematic intensity offer a lasting visual and intellectual legacy.
