Formation

Formation is a commanding 60 x 48 inch original contemporary painting by award-winning artist Simon Kenny. The work suggests a dynamic, primal landscape where heat and energy collide to ignite new connections.

In this composition, sharp cracks of dark pigment carve through glowing, ethereal clouds, while meticulously layered textures hint at unseen depth and immense pressure. It is a sophisticated visual representation of transformation—as if matter and meaning are being forged from raw force and radiant intention. Infused with movement and emotional power, the piece draws the viewer into a world where light inevitably emerges from chaos.

Gallery Presence and Professional Acquisition

Given its expansive scale and bold, expressive brushwork, Formation serves as a stunning focal point for modern or eclectic interiors. Its ability to anchor a large architectural space makes it a premier choice for interior designers and corporate art consultants looking for works that convey both strength and refinement.

Simon Kenny’s work is a staple in high-end UK galleries, including Clarendon Fine Art, and is increasingly being picked up by international galleries for its “Radical Turner-esque” qualities. Acquiring a work of this magnitude represents a significant transactional opportunity for collectors seeking investment-grade contemporary abstraction with a strong tactile presence.
