Description
And the Skies Awoken is a definitive original contemporary painting on canvas by award-winning artist Simon Kenny. Presented in a commanding 60 x 16 inch panoramic format, this work is a masterclass in atmospheric abstraction, inviting a deeply personal and visceral experience from the observer.
Characterised by Kenny’s signature fluid brushwork and light-filled compositions, the painting captures a sense of celestial transition and elemental energy. The elongated horizontal plane allows for a cinematic narrative of colour and texture, where the “awakening” of the sky is translated into a rhythmic play of light and shadow. Each mark is original and intentional, ensuring that the work remains an exclusive and unrepeatable statement of artistic enquiry.
Gallery Representation and Fine Art Investment
As a truly contemporary work on canvas, And the Skies Awoken is perfectly positioned for the modern art market. Its unique dimensions make it a sought-after asset for interior designers looking to anchor a room with a “window” of light, or for galleries seeking to demonstrate the breadth of Kenny’s lyrical style.
Simon Kenny’s work is held in prestigious private and corporate collections globally, with a consistent presence in high-profile UK galleries such as Whitewall Galleries and Clarendon Fine Art. Acquiring a piece of this scale and quality represents a significant transactional opportunity for collectors focusing on emerging contemporary masters and long-term art asset growth.
